Marsh Gun Stand for Duck Hunting
Tule Tube · Built for the marsh
Less mud. More time enjoying the hunt.
The Tule Tube is a floating, depth-adjustable marsh gun stand for duck hunters. Keep your shotgun upright and above the mud, instead of balancing it across your lap or leaning it in the reeds.
Floating design · Adjustable depth · Lightweight & packable
A place for your shotgun. Not in the mud.

If you hunt without a built blind, you know the problem: standing water, slick banks and reeds leave few good places to rest your gun. Holding it across your lap works until you need both hands for your gear or your dog.
Aaron Horn created the Tule Tube after years of hunting that same terrain. The idea was simple: give marsh hunters a lightweight, portable place to rest their shotgun above the water.
“Too many times, my gun ended up in the muddy water.”
Aaron Horn, Tule Tube inventor
Made for life in the tules
It floats
The Tule Tube is buoyant. If the stand gets knocked into the water, it stays on the surface rather than sinking out of sight.
It adjusts to the water
Marsh conditions change with rain, tides and flood-up schedules. The adjustable design helps you position your shotgun above the waterline.
It packs light
Built with walk-in hunts in mind, the Tule Tube is compact and lightweight. For longer walks, the optional Tule Tube Field Carry Strap adds a padded shoulder section and adjustable webbing.
It keeps your gun out of the muck
Keeping your shotgun elevated helps keep mud and water off your gear. Read our guide to keeping your shotgun dry and clean while duck hunting.
How it works
- Plant the stand. Position the Tule Tube in the soft marsh bottom near your hunting spot.
- Adjust the depth. Set the stand to suit the water where you are sitting.
- Rest your shotgun. Position your shotgun upright, keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
Is it right for your hunt?
The Tule Tube is designed for hunters working soft-bottom marshes and shallow water, especially:
- Walk-in hunters carrying their gear onto public land.
- Tule and bucket hunters sitting low in the reeds without a built blind.
- Dog handlers and callers who need somewhere to rest their shotgun while tending to other tasks.

Designed by a hunter who knows the problem
Aaron Horn started duck hunting with his dad at age 12. Years of public-land hunts led to decades of experimenting with a stand that would be lightweight, durable, portable, buoyant and adjustable.
The result was the Tule Tube. As Aaron puts it: “Today, I never enter the marsh without it.”
Before you head to the marsh
Will the stand float?
Yes. The Tule Tube has a buoyant design so the stand floats if it is dropped into the water.
Will it fit my shotgun?
The Tule Tube is designed to fit most duck hunting shotguns. If your gun has an unusual stock, barrel or accessory setup, call 925-360-0324 to check the fit before ordering.
Where can I use it?
It is designed to plant into soft marsh bottom. Boats and hard-ground setups generally need a different mounting solution.
