Why TuleTube Exists
In real marsh conditions, there are not many good places to set a shotgun. Mud, standing water, slick ground, reeds, decoy bags, and unstable blind edges all create the same problem: your gun ends up where you do not want it. TuleTube was created to solve that problem with a simple field-ready idea. Plant it into the mud, set your shotgun in place, keep it elevated, and stay ready for a fast draw when birds come in.
Meet The Inventor Aaron Horn
My dad took me duck hunting for the first time when I was 12 years old, and after I shot my first duck, I was hooked.
I have been hunting ducks ever since, mostly on public land. Sitting in the Tules with my gun across my lap was so inconvenient. I needed a place to set my gun so I could grab something out of my bag—a sandwich, cup of coffee, etc.—so many times I ended up dropping my gun in the Tules.
About 30 years ago, I started experimenting with different ways to solve that problem. It had to be lightweight, and I wanted it to float in case I dropped it. The biggest issue of all was it had to be easy to transport and to adjust to different depths of water. I think the Tule Tube solves all those problems, and I have been hunting with it for years. I would not go into the marsh without it.
